During the revitalization of the Old Market Square in Poznań, the illumination and control system were replaced.
The PXM company consulted on the lighting control project and delivered the appropriate devices.
The control system was based on the main DMX PX710+ controller with the PX703 touch panel.
Thanks to the use of PX349 splitters, there is a possibility of bidirectional transmission, using the RDM protocol, for service management of the luminaires.
Due to the historical nature of the facility, it was not possible to run new cabling everywhere. Therefore, in places where the DMX bus could not be run wired, PX796-IP modules were used for wireless transmission of the DMX signal.
Some of the luminaires in the facility (including lanterns) are controlled by the DALI protocol. To integrate DMX control with the DALI bus, PX787 converters were used.
Control in the system is based on a schedule programmed in the main controller. It allows adjusting the lighting to the sunrise and sunset, create the right atmosphere and reduce energy consumption.
Additionally, thanks to the use of the PX788 merger, during special events it is possible to connect external lighting control.
The control system manages over 400 lighting fixtures, in full synchronization.
