Opis

This summer the PXM company has been asked to develop the concept of modern lighting in one of the chambers of the Wieliczka Salt Mine. The previous illumination was based on the traditional incandescent light sources with wide angles of illumination, which did not provide proper lighting exposition of objects.
New lighting on the side walls was designed to expose salt precipitation, wooden structures and forms of minerals, as well as to emphasize the depth of the entire mining chamber by remarking located on the second plan exhibits.
In addition, the proposed solution had to comply with specific requirements from existing mine safety conditions and the presence of salt. After numerous attempts we have created installation based solely on LED lighting. A very small reflectors with different angles of the beam distribution were used for illumination. The color temperature of the emitted light was adapted to the nature of the exhibit. The effect of our actions can be seen "live" in the Wieliczka Salt Mine. There is also significant economic aspect of the investment. Total lighting power installed throughout the chamber does not exceed 250W and has guaranteed lifespan of 50 thousands hours.

The PXM company has provided lighting concept and delivered all the lamps and power supplies.
